BRIEF BIO

Alok Jagawat born 03:03:1977 in Nimach (MP, India) is a Vedic astrologer, author, and Editor. He has a scientific background in visual arts and designing.

GENEALOGY

He hails from a traditional Brahmakshatriya family (Charan are brahmakshatriya tribe mentioned in vedas and considered separate from human population. They are mentioned along with Gandharvas, Yakshas etc. Most of these follow brahmin traditions but do not deter from Fighting when time comes).

His grandfather was a great Sanskrit scholar who has authored record number of books during his lifetime. His books are still in place in [[Pagla Baba ashram]] in [[Vrindavan]]. Karpatri Ji Maharaj, Pagla Baba and many faquirs loved his grandfather and often visited his abode. His grandfather was a disciple of Swami Hari das ji of Sariska(Forest near Alwar) & Tatiya Swami Maharaj ( Of Vrindavan).

His father was blessed by Asthavakra Maharaj (Jaipur based old saint) before he was born. Great saints have influenced him right from his childhood.

ALMA-MATER

His alma-mater accounted with first divisions and numerous winning entries in art and extempore contests. Being a very good artist, awards and praises were showered. He met many personalities including former president Giani Jail singh, Former Prime minister Mr.Dere Gowda, former Union Minister for Housing Ms.Girija Vyas and Former minister Mr.Arjun Singh. Mr.Giani Jail Singh praised his large size art installation for cultural unity.

His young age was marked with remarkable fame, and regular mentions in new-papers and Media.

His adulthood saw influence of his grandfather and other saints. During his college, He was blessed by Shankracharya of Dwarkapeetha & Jyotirmath. Maharaj Sri Swaroopanand ji, praised him for his study in astrology and told him to pursue it wholeheartedly. He topped the Jyotish Praveen and Visharad class of year 1999.

WORK AND STUDY

For a brief time he worked as a designer for Pixel Multitoons, but soon left his job to devote full time to jyotish. It was predicted by many people in advance that he would become a Jyotishi one day.

2003 to 2012- Worked as chief astrologer for Parashara’s Light (Company related to Jyotish Software). He handwrote thousands of jyotish reports for Parashara during this phase. He also gave a live TV show, which became an instant hit. This live Jyotish show was so good that he closed down his contact lines for few days just to avoid the burden.

2006: Topped the PGA (Gemolgist) Exam.

During this time, Jyotish Gurus like Sri.Shakti Mohan Singh, Sr.K.N Rao & Sri B.V Raman, influenced him. He learnt the intricacies of Prasna Marg, Kavadi Prasnam and Ashtmangala Paddhati from Sri.NE Muthuswami. Sri. R.G Rao influenced him for Nadi astrology. This experience and regular research into this area became a boon.

He was a first class Jyotish Visharad from I.C.A.S and an ardent follower of Shri V.Ganpathi Sthapathi from whom he learnt about the oriental architecture.

MYSTICAL EXPERIENCES

His interest in meditation and mystical experiences with saints lead him to sudden involuntary trances. He was influenced by the lives of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Bama Khepa, Saint Kabeer, Saint Jesus and Sri Guru Nanak. A meeting with disciple of Narayan Swami Maharaj of Muzzafarnagar, lead him to deeper penance and sadhna. The mystic told him many secrets about his previous life and encounters with different tantric practises. That was the very reason for his spontaneous transcendental state.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS AND WORKSHOPS

Alok Jagawat has given speeches on Vastu and jyotish in colleges and Ashrams. He taught Vastu in Arch Institute of Interiors. Jagawat teaches Nadi Jyotish and Vastu at workshops staged around the country. He has local engagements with Patrika in Education from past twelve years and has been taking regular classes on Vastu, Nadi Jyotish and Graphology.

CURRENT WORK

He is engaged in writing and research on Jyotish, Vastu and other Occult subjects. He is the editor for a Jyotish Magazine titled “The divine codes”. (The magazine is free and downloadable under Publications Menu). He loves to travel and Photograph different cultures. He has written books and is currently engaged in consultations and book writing.
